Goin' for the Gold!

In the spirit of the Olympic games, I have decided to invent my own event, named "After Chemo Hair Growth".  My four-year-old granddaughter has kindly offered to monitor my hair growth and let my know how I am doing in the medal standings!

Not all of the hair on my head fell out during chemo.  Oddly enough, all of the grey hairs stubbornly stayed put. That, combined with very thinned out eyebrows and eyelashes, means I look like a big bald baby - lol.

Now that I am 2.5 weeks post-final chemo treatment, my hair should start growing back at any time over the next few weeks.  However, it feels like I might already have some fuzz growing along the nape of my neck.  Can't see any difference in the mirror yet, though. It will take about six months before my hair will be long enough to style. Good thing I don't mind short hair, plus I have saved a ton of time and money on hair cuts and styling products!  It will also be interesting to see what colour and texture it grows back as.  Personally, I am hoping for silver and curly - my hair has always been stick-straight, so some curl and body would be a nice change of pace.

This is me with my little judge.
